Vinyltris(tert-butylperoxy)silane concentrates three radical-generating peroxide groups around silicon and also carries a vinyl group. Its O-O bonds can split to initiate polymer grafting or crosslinking, but that same reactivity demands careful process control. Organic peroxide crosslinkers are molecular timing devices: stable enough to mix and handle, yet ready to generate radicals when the intended cure stage is reached.
